As an incredible follow-up to the announcement that Aston Martin is returning to Formula One™ racing after more than 60 years, there is a new Aston Martin Vantage F1® Edition which is based on the official safety car used in the series. The new Aston Martin Vantage F1® Edition is the ultimate version of the already incredible Vantage, offering even higher levels of power and performance than ever before.
The talented engineering team at Aston Martin gave the new Vantage F1® Edition improved aerodynamics, chassis, and powertrain technology, which will only be used on this special-edition model. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine gets a sizable power increase with peak torque remaining consistent, and the 8-speed transmission has been optimized for faster shifts and finer control when pushing the Vantage to its limit at the track.
The chassis of the Aston Martin Vantage F1® Edition has been modified to be stiffer, which provides an improvement in steering feel and response. Changes to the suspension tuning improves body control, sharpens turn-in, and increases traction. This is also the first time the Vantage has been fitted with 21-inch wheels and tires, which also give better response in addition to looking incredible on this track-focused vehicle.
To match the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team car, the Vantage F1® Edition includes a solid matte grey racing stripe, with the option of three colors in either satin or gloss finish: Aston Martin Racing Green, Jet Black, and Lunar White. The interior is finished in Obsidian Black Leather and Phantom Grey Alcantara upholstery, with a choice of either Lime Green, Obsidian Black, Wolf Grey, or Spicy Red contrast stripes and stitching.
